Welcome to the Interreg YOUMOBIL project. The YOUMOBIL project aims at enhancing the passenger transport system for young people that live in rural areas and at improving their access to the European and national transport networks.
We want to give you the opportunity to explore the infrastructure of Europe. This summer, the Interreg project YOUMOBIL hands out free Interrail Global Passes, that let you discover 40.000 destinations and ride on trains in 31 different countries. The pass will be valid for 30 days during this summer.
You belong to the lucky participants of the YOUMOBIL project? That´s great. Let the adventure begin. This playlist will guide you through the steps and tasks of the YOUMOBIL project.

Welcome to Quedlinburg (Germany). The town is located in a rural area in the west of Saxony Anhalt and is about 260 km from Berlin. The Quedlinburg station is reachable by rail and is connected with Magdeburg, Thale, and Halberstadt, or by bus from the capital city (Berlin) with an extra cost of 12 € (one way ticket). In the town there can be found the Quedlinburg castle hill, which is a part of UNSESCO World Heritage List. There is also a possibility to get rewarded with a badge “Die Harzer Wandernadel”, that you can pin to your shirt or backpack. Everything that occurs in Quedlinburg during the summer can be found on the official website. (Check below). Worth mentioning is "The Name of the Rose" that’s ongoing in the theater (very often) or the District Tour.
When you visit Quedlinburg as part of the YOUMOBIL- project, please follow the mentioned steps:
- Travel to Quedlinburg using your Interrail ticket
- Make yourself notes about your travelling to and from Quedlinburg, especially about the infrastructure (trains, train stations,…)
